During day time your electric load is run by solar and batteries are charged by solar, your grid electricity is not used. During the night battery backup is used in case of grid absence. From day one you get a return from solar and your electricity bill will be reduced.

ON-GRID SOLAR SYSTEM

ON-GRID Solar system contains Solar panels and grid-tie Solar inverters.

During the day time generated solar power is used in your load and excess power is exported to the grid, at night time what you consume is adjusted with the export units. At the end of the billing cycle, DISCOM calculates your total export and import unit and generates your bill.
